New Boat Construction: W-46 Yachts: Arion, Equus and Zebra
Three one-design racing vessels, launched in 2000-2001

Rockport Marine built three W-46 designs—EQUUS, ARION and ZEBRA. These sleek racers evoke the graceful shapes of classic boats from the golden age of yachting. However, below the waterline the W-46 is extremely modern; the keel shape is a foil with a bulb at the bottom, to maximize stability. The rig is carbon fiber and the hull is wood composite construction. Bob Stephens and the Brooklin Boatyard created the design.

Below decks is elegantly appointed, with custom cabinetry and interior joinery made of cherry. While racing yachts are often spartan in their accomodations, the W-46 is comfortable and attractive.
